Onward to Zanzibar!

(Let's start by saying 'thank you' to everyone who has left comments on the blog! The team has enjoyed reading them!)

Today we take the two and a half hour ferry from the mainland of Tanzania to the island of Zanzibar. No one became seasick...unfortunately we have no pictures because the team was passed out on Dramamine (SP?) and slept most of the way! We were well received and with the help of the local health minister had a smooth transition through customs and a bus waiting on us. While the bags were being loaded, we enjoyed watching the locals unpacking goods from the ferry, such as the colorful mattresses like the picture below. We were very impressed with how high they stacked them!

We checked into the hotel which is within view of the Indian Ocean. We have enjoyed seeing the various boats coming in and out of the port. See photo below.

Thank you so much for keeping us so well informed. Those are wonderful pictures. Can't wait to hear and see more! Things are going fine in this neck of the woods.
God Bless,
Pati :-)

Hi Doug, Cindy, Kathy, Larry, et al!
The pictures are great! You all look so fresh and happy. I wish I were there to see those darling children. What an amazing experience you must be having all while sharing God's love with others. THANKS for all that you are doing. ;o)
